YouTube - LG Air Con FM25AH Outdoor Unit In Defrost Mode

Outside temp this morning in Leeds, UK was -2C @ 0800am, so the heat pump/air con was working hard to heat the inside of the house. These units are effective down to -15C, however efficiency start…

My units are 12000btu in cooling and 13000 in heating.Whether you need as much as me or more than me I dont know you would have to do the load calculations but mine are oversided a bit to give me that extra power if I need it, i.e very hot or very cold. This also always quicker warm? up times when it is cold as there is more output. The Mr Slim range are for commercial use really, they are a lot more expensive than the other Mitis Range.YOu should be looking at the M Series units.

Hi !Pidd, I cant comment really on these systems, I think what you end up with is a budget system and? if anything goes wrong with it you will find it hard to get the parts as no one will supply the parts. You are best of paying that little bit more and having a guarantee etc.Im sure they will be ok just dont expect major savings etc. They will be cheap. However go for it but make sure you buy the next size up from what you require so that you have the xtra capactity if need be!

Richard, have you? seen the easy fit inverter systems? Any idea if they are any good?

richardc1983 November 9, 2009 at 1:39 am

Sam, who said there was a problem… the systems are used for heating central heating is expensive to run and when you live in rented accomodation and dont have any control over the central heating heating via fan heaters is very expensive.Wow.. you have hot summers, the fact is your aclimatised to it. In UK we may get 2 hot days at a? time then it goes cold again so we never aclimatise. Also factor in working nights and having to sleep in a bedroom that has large % traffic noise! THINK!!!

Whats this crap all about – somebody filming an a/c compressor! Wtf do you want a/c for in an English house!!! You must be mad – why don’t you just get central heating! Where I live its 40 degrees in the summer and I? manage without a/c so whats your problem!?

No there are two units connected to it, however you can connect upto 4 indoor units to the outdoor unit.2 units for me however is? enought to heat my entire ground floor flat.At present with UK temps of 8C outside, only one unit is used as it is more than enough.
