Could you please tell me the difference between air conditioning and air conditioner?
I knew that we can say that “this car comes with an air conditioning” .
How about the following sentence:
Does your apartment has an air conditioning /conditioner?
Does this building has an central air conditioning system?
As others have said, an air conditioner is the machine, air conditioning is the result. Note that the machine is an object, therefore countable–you need “an”. “Air conditioning” is intangible, therefore non-countable–no “an”.
>>I knew that we can say that “this car comes with an air conditioning” .
You would say just “comes with air conditioning” or “an air conditioning system”.
>>Does your apartment has an air conditioning /conditioner?
(With a question using “do”, don’t conjugate the main verb)
You can say “Does your apartment have air conditioning?” or “Does your apartment have an air conditioner?”
>>Does this building has an central air conditioning system?
Again, “have” not “has”, and it’s “a” rather than “an” (“an” only goes right before a vowel sound), but otherwise perfect. “System” is countable.

air conditioning is an activity of cooling or purifying air. While air conditioner is an object(that does air conditioning ).As in “this car comes with an air conditioning”,it states that car has some facility for air conditioning(may be an air conditioner.)
air conditioning is the system used controlling the desired temperature in an area. If the desired temperature is for example 25°C, the air conditioner keeps the temperature +/- 2°C the desired temperature.
air conditioner is the device used to keep the temperature at a certain range.
Sentence1. system is elimineted at the
end of the sentence, but it is
understood.
Sentence 2. has an air conditioning system?
or has an air conditioniner?
Sentence 3. absolutely correct!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
air conditioner is the appliance, air conditioning the result or action.
An air conditioner is the device or unit that cools the air or “conditions the air”. In everyday usage people just say that they have or need more air conditioning. It has just become customary to refer to the cooling effect rather than the mechanical device because evreryone should know by now that an air condition(er) cools the air.
The air conditioner is the machine. Air conditioning is what the machine does. So an apartment can have an air conditioner, but if it’s out of order, you still won’t have air conditioning.
You really need to go back to some ESL school first. English is not learnt overnight on the Yahoo.
